5 Ways to Use Articles in Internet Network Marketing

Article marketing has to be, hands-down, one of the best ways to build your internet network marketing business. When I started my home based business, I used a lot of advertising methods that proved to be very ineffective. Then, I found out about the power of writing articles and my business turned around.  Article marketing is something that should be in every business owner’s marketing arsenal because, this is a no-brainer – it is free! In this article, I am going to discuss five ways to make article marketing work for your internet networking marketing business.

1. Don’t try to sell your product or service in your article. This is the #1 rule that most people in network marketing seem to overlook. Most people are not going to go online to see what you have to offer so they can pull out their credit card and buy something from you. Honestly, most people are online looking for information. As an article writer, you need to provide good, quality information to your readers. If you are involved in an internet network marketing business, writing articles that give your reader good information is your first step to article marketing success.

2. Use article marketing to gather leads for your business. If someone likes your article and wants to know more about what you have to offer, use your resource box to advertise your product and / or service. The only place in your article that you should use to gather leads for your business is in your resource box, which located at the end of every article. Send your reader to your lead capture page and ask them to sign up for your internet network marketing newsletter, your program, or to learn more about your internet marketing program. If you do not have a lead capture page, use a blog. Always have an opt-in box for your reader tied to an auto-responder that follows up with your prospects for you with pre-written messages.

3. Keep your article short and precise. Many people say that 350 to 500 words are all that you need. However, sometimes you have to go over that amount of words to get your point across. I think that the right length, in most cases, is between 700 and 1,200 words. This will allow you to be concise and thorough in your article writing. If you have a good article, it could get picked up by other webmasters looking for fresh, new content. It could also be reprinted in an Ezine that is sent to thousands of readers.

4. Check your spelling and grammar! Obviously, you want to make sure that you spell words correctly. Having misspelled words can reduce your credibility. Without wanting to offend anyone, you should also write your article on a fifth or sixth grade level. If you keep your article at the fifth or sixth grade level, then everyone can read it quickly, everyone can digest it fast, and that is what you need.

5. Use a compelling title. The title of this article is “5 Ways to Use Articles in Internet Network Marketing” because it is short, to the point and lets the reader know what to expect. Your article title should tell your reader what to expect from the article. Listing four, five or even six ways to do something relaxes the reader and lets them know what to expect. If you have more information than you can put into an article, then use the resource box to direct the reader to your capture page or blog for them to see the rest of the information.

Remember that while article marketing may not produce an avalanche of free network marketing leads overnight for your internet network marketing business, article marketing will produce a lot of leads and sales over a period of time. You can write an article in 10 to 15 minutes (and it costs nothing!) and that same article could be generating leads for your internet network marketing business for years to come.
